Friends,
As many of my clients and audience members know, Toastmasters has changed my life! I have been a member since 1997, and past president of Cherry Creek Toastmasters in Denver, Colorado.
If I hadn’t been a Toastmaster, I could never have won the World Championship of Public Speaking in 2000.
Toastmasters is still an important part of my life. Since 2000, I’ve been privileged to meet Toastmasters from around the world and participate in many conferences. I’m still a proud member of the Toastmasters organization.
In response to all that Toastmasters has done for me, I am pleased to give back to the organization by attending District conferences and by coaching individuals on their way to the World Championship of Public Speaking.
Yours truly,
Ed Tate
Keynotes for Toastmasters
KEYNOTE: Manage Things, Lead People: Leadership Lessons Learned the Hard Way!:
(Length: 60 minutes)
As a former executive, Ed’s success in business spans over two decades. Strong leadership is critical during times of change and chaos. Ed Tate has witnessed it firsthand. On September 11th, he was there…watching the master, Rudy Giuliani. In 2001, he led a transition team to merge two 100-year-old rivals… The Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post. Ed will share valuable lessons learned about leadership during turbulent times, the actions which leaders must take when implementing or responding to change, and show you how to cope with the everyday turbulence in your lives.
In this highly interactive and entertaining keynote, rather than discuss his successes, Ed reflects on his leadership failures at work and at home, and the lessons he learned from them. These mistakes don’t have to be repeated in your life! There are Facebook moments you won’t want to miss! Have fun at his expense.
Major Points:
